Bio-individuality
At the heart of my approach lies the principle of bio-individuality, recognizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution in the realm of health and wellness. While nourishing our bodies is undeniably crucial, it’s only part of the equation.
In my journey, I delved into the concept of primary and secondary food during my health coach training, and it’s not quite what you might expect.
Primary food isn’t what’s on your plate; it’s the tapestry of your life—your relationships, career, physical activity, and spirituality. Secondary food, on the other hand, is what you place on your plate. But here’s the key: without a well-nourished ‘primary’ life, even the healthiest of organic kale or chia seeds won’t fill the void.
Hippocrates, the visionary father of medicine, recognized the healing power of food centuries ago when he advocated, ‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.’ This timeless wisdom aligns with Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, where the human drive to actualize our full potential is acknowledged.
In essence, it’s about listening to your inner wisdom, your gut feeling.
I firmly believe that by harmonizing our primary and secondary foods, listening to our inner voices, and embracing our unique paths, we unlock the keys to health and lasting happiness.
